Our Summer Camp Director

Vinny Gschlecht became Summer Camp Director prior to the 2009 season.  He was Assistant Camp Director for 4 years and the Cabin Prefect of Pineview for the past 25+ years.  Vinny graduated from Queens College in New York City with a B.S. in Sociology and has completed two Masters Degrees in School Counseling at St. John's University.  In addition to his role at Camp Marist, Vinny has served as Guidance Counselor/Guidance Director at St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, NY for more than 25 years.  He is a member of the American Camping Association and a certified counselor in the State of New York.
