About Camp Marist Camp Marist is a traditional, residential summer camp for boys and girls, 6 to 16 years old. Campers may choose to come to camp for two weeks or as long as seven weeks. Our unique and varied program provides the opportunity for campers to create their own schedule by choosing from more than thirty different activities.
Camp Marist was founded in 1949 on the beautiful shores of Ossipee Lake. Nestled on 300 acres in the White Mountains region of New Hampshire, we offer a special blend of friendship, activity, education, warmth, and an appreciation of the great outdoors in a nurturing family atmosphere.
The Marist Brothers, an international Catholic teaching order, founded Camp Marist, having established numerous elementary and high schools throughout the country. The Marist Brothers wished to create a camp which complemented what they were doing in their schools. They found the perfect place, and since those early days, Camp Marist has grown to be an outstanding center where children and thrive and grow in a nurturing Christian environment.
